Clare Dunne is an accomplished and highly-experienced immigration lawyer who started her journey volunteering for a refugee charity. Clare handles all ranges of cases from asylum claims to spouse visa applications. Clare is currently based in our Sheffield office.
Background
Clare became interested in immigration and asylum law when she volunteered for a refugee charity while studying at university. This initial experience is what drives her to give the best possible immigration services to her clients. She is committed to assisting her clients and treats each of her cases with professionalism and dedication.
Experience
Clare has been working in the field of immigration and asylum law since 2012. Her main specialisms are asylum claims and appeals. She is also experienced in spouse visa applications, visitor applications, and EEA matters. She also regularly represents clients at Immigration and Asylum Tribunals, mainly in Bradford. Clare is also a member of the Young Legal Aid Lawyers as she is heavily involved with them outside of her work.
Qualifications
2.1 BA (Hons) English Studies from Sheffield Hallam University
MA in International Studies from University of Sheffield (in which she received a distinction for her dissertation, titled ‘Rape in War’)
MA in Law with commendation from the University of Sheffield (conversion law degree) (in which she completed a dissertation titled ‘The Right to Liberty and the Detention of Asylum Seekers’)
Legal Practice Course with commendation from the College of Law (now University of Law)
